Editorial Guidelines

roulette-x.com is an editorial review platform. These guidelines document transparently how our testing procedures work, how ratings are created, how corrections are handled, and how we deal with affiliate commissions. We understand them as a commitment to our readers.

Editorial Mission

We report on Roulette X and online casinos globally. Our reporting priority: useful information over marketing aesthetics, concrete numbers over vague adjectives, methodical rigor over marketing rhetoric. Shortcomings are named, not downplayed.

Editorial Team

All tests are conducted by a permanent editorial team with more than 14 years of combined professional experience in iGaming. Reviews are authored and published with verifiable author biography. Contract writers, AI-generated content without editorial review, and sponsored posts are excluded.

Casino Testing Procedure

Every casino recommended on roulette-x.com undergoes the following verification steps:

  1. License verification. The stated license number is verified with the issuing regulator (Malta Gaming Authority, CuraƧao eGaming, Anjouan Gaming Authority, and others).
  2. Real-money registration. Account creation including KYC verification; processing time is documented.
  3. Deposit. A minimum amount of 100 euros via at least two different payment methods.
  4. Game testing. At least 200 rounds of Roulette X or comparable hybrid roulette/crash games across different difficulty levels.
  5. Withdrawal testing. At least three withdrawals with different amounts via various withdrawal methods.
  6. Support testing. Inquiries via live chat and email with documented response time and answer quality.

A casino is only added after successfully completing all steps. Listings are verified at least every six months and corrected or removed if necessary.

Rating System

Casino and game ratings follow a structured 47-point audit that is converted into an overall rating according to the following weighting:

  • Withdrawal speed: 25 percent
  • License transparency: 20 percent
  • Bonus fairness (wagering, game weighting, max-bet clauses): 20 percent
  • Customer service: 15 percent
  • Game selection: 10 percent
  • App and usability: 10 percent

The resulting score from 0-100 is mapped to a 5-star scale. Providers with less than 70 points are not included in our recommendation list.

Affiliate Transparency

Part of our revenue comes from affiliate commissions. When a user clicks one of our recommendation links and subsequently makes a deposit with the corresponding provider, we receive a one-time or revenue-based fee. This compensation does not influence inclusion in the recommendation list or the order of listings.

  • Casinos do not pay for listing or favorable positioning.
  • The order results exclusively from the 47-point audit.
  • Providers with higher commission rates receive no priority treatment.
  • Affiliate relationships are marked in the footer and inline where applicable.

Fact-Checking

Numerical claims in our articles are verified before publication:

  • RTP values: from official documentation of the game developer, additionally cross-checked against iTech-Labs or eCOGRA certificates.
  • Bonus terms: taken from the respective casino's terms and conditions at time of publication. As providers can adjust conditions rapidly, we recommend verifying before each deposit.
  • License data: checked with the issuing regulator.

Corrections and Updates

Should information prove incorrect, we correct the article promptly. Significant content changes are documented with an update note at the bottom of the article. False factual claims are corrected, not silently removed. Tips for the editorial team can be sent anytime to: redaktion@roulette-x.com.

Position on Responsible Gambling

Gambling is entertainment, not a business model for individual players. This position is reflected in our articles: we avoid 'get rich' rhetoric, point out addiction risks, and link to help services in every article and footer. If you need help: NCPG hotline or Gamblers Anonymous.

What We Don't Do

  • No 'guaranteed strategies' that ignore mathematical expected value principles.
  • No promotion of unlicensed casinos or so-called 'predictor' applications.
  • No promo codes whose non-existent status we have already verified.
  • No paid articles without visible disclosure.
  • No test verdicts without an actual test conducted.

Methodological Updates

These guidelines are reviewed annually and adapted to market developments, regulatory changes, and our own methodological findings. The current version is available on this page.
